Rise Against Hunger Day

Cornerstone Church Cares Rise Against Hunger Day

When: September 30, 2017, 9:30-11:30 am

Where: Cornerstone Church, US-1 Campus (18301 South Dixie Highway, Palmetto Bay)

How It Works

Rise Against Hunger’s meal packaging program is a volunteer-based initiative that coordinates the assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals. Dedicated individuals and organizations have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on international relief program and to become educated, engaged advocates for the world’s hungry. The meal packaging event will also give volunteers experience in leadership development, team-building, relationship-building, creative problem-solving, and goal-setting and achievement.

Cornerstone Church will host the event on September 30, 2017, and seeks to partner with local businesses and organizations to coordinate fundraising and volunteer recruitment.
