God Loves a Cheerful Giver

God Loves a Cheerful Giver

The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Chronicles 9:6-7

As 2021 is ending, the leadership of the church is planning for the mission and ministries at Cornerstone and beyond for 2022. In the month of November, we start our Pie Pledge Giving Campaign. I discovered through the Listening Tours this summer that many of you have wonderful dreams for Cornerstone Church that include a vibrant children and youth ministry, you want to encourage kids to go to camp, others want to expand what we do in education and that may mean eventually buying more property. These are joyful, wonderful, and hopeful desires for our church! The Finance Committee diligently plans for how these ministries and opportunities for evangelism and growth are accomplished. When we combine our money, God grows it and does more with it than we can possibly imagine. For this reason, please Pray, Plan, and Pledge what portion of your “pie” that you will give. Pray about what God is calling you to cheerfully give. Plan your pledge by reviewing your budget and decide what you can afford. What can you give to God’s work at Cornerstone? Not everyone is in a place to give ten percent and that is ok. Perhaps God may be calling you to give above and beyond what you gave last year. If this is the first time you have ever pledged your giving to the church, that is ok too! Please ask questions.  Then Pledge. There will be cards on the tables during worship that you can take home and then Pray, Plan, Pledge. Bring back the cards to be consecrated on November 21st during worship. We want everyone to taste and see that the Lord is good. Please participate in the Pie Pledge!

In Christ,
Pastor Elyse
