Dividing Soul and Spirit

Dividing Soul and Spirit

For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul and spirit [the completeness of a person].
(Hebrews 4:12 AMP)

The dividing of soul and spirit is important.  Our soul tells us what we want, think, and feel, but the Holy Spirit reveals God’s will to us.  Anytime we are making a decision, especially an important one, acknowledging God is the wise thing to do.  If we acknowledge Him, it shows that we care about His will.

Studying God’s Word helps us to know His heart (His will) on a variety of subjects and helps us stay on the right path in life.  There are many decisions that we make each day, and God has given us the wisdom to do so, but letting Him know that we want His will even more than we want our own is a part of developing an intimate relationship with Him.

You and God are partners together in your life, and learning to walk with Him through life will ensure that you can enjoy the best life possible.

Acknowledge God in all your ways, and he will direct your path.
