Hope Is All Around

It is great to be back! I have missed many activities that our church has put on like wonderful Messy Church and I missed the Florida United Methodist Church Annual Conference last week. If you remember, last year the clergy group that was to be commissioned were not commissioned, over the inclusion of LGBTQ+ clergy and gay marriage. This year the whole clergy group were commissioned no matter their sexual orientation or sexual expression. Please check out these links so that you will have a better understanding of the changing nature of what it means to be clergy and some implications of disaffiliation. Pray for these newly commissioned and ordained clergy and for the continuing UMC!
