I Want it NOW!

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9

“I want it now!” I am embarrassed to say that I am like Veruca Salt from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and I want God to move right now! I want God to answer prayers the way I want them answered, in just my timing, and in a particular way that will suit me and anything less than that seems like God is moving slowly. What if God treated us like that? In God’s great rescue plan for humanity, God does not treat us like underlings, nor does he jump when we say. God’s big picture is on our repentance which means turning from habits and thoughts that lead to sin and death. God also does not want us to perish so God gives us time to change and opportunities to grow. God wants us to change and to live a life for Him!
